Nature's Soul Captured on Print

About Rob

Northern California-based fine art photographer Rob Bohning began his photography passion at age 15 shooting autumn and winter landscapes in the mountains of northern Pennsylvania. Growing up in a home with a mom who was an artist and a dad who was a chemist, he learned to appreciate photography as both an art and a science. Rob began his photography journey by shooting time-lapse photos of fresh snowfalls under a full moon and a starry sky and experimenting with various filters. Since 2000, he has captured some of California’s most pristine scenes and continues to actively photograph both here and beyond.

Rob has served in the Marine Corps and worked in the electronic hardware and software engineering fields as an applications engineer. The same attention to detail required in those fields are present in his approach to photography, which is to photograph with planning and purpose. Rob takes great passion and pleasure in capturing the essence and wonder in God’s awesome creation and taking you on a virtual journey to experience it.
Some of Rob’s recent published work includes images from the Eastern Sierra featured in Mono County’s Tourism Calendars and Visitor’s Guide Magazines and a feature in the Fall|Winter 2011 edition of the Yosemite Conservancy Magazine.

  1. Absolutely beautiful site. A gift that you have that can only come from God.
There is an anointing on this site and I feel it’s presence as i visit and view God’s early creation and the view of it that He has given unto you.

Keep believing, keep trusting, keep praying. We serve a God of the impossible! Nothing is beyond his reach. He is the Impossible God, The Sovereign God!

    God bless my brother.

My daughter Sara became acquainted with you when she lived in Modesto and she told me of your beautiful photos and also your battle with your health issues. My mother just had thyroid cancer surgery (papillary carcinoma) and I was sharing your story with her. She loves your photos and we both concurred that one can feel beauty and peace in your shots. We will be praying for you as you soldier on. My mother is scheduled for RAI but with her age she is not sure about going through with the treatment. Thank you for sharing your talents with the world. What a blessing you are!
